    Headlines

    • Pioneer Community Forum Night March 2nd

      Mr. Stout and Mr. Nystrom would like to cordially invite parents, guardians, and community members to a community forum.

      Monday, March 2nd at 6:00 pm in the Pioneer Middle School cafeteria.

      Topics that will be addressed are:

      •The Common Core State Standards and the work the staff has done to implement the new standards.
      •The Smarter Balance Assessments that replaced the MSP and the preparation and practice the students are receiving for the upcoming assessments (also preparation tips for parents).
      •Professional Learning Communities in Pioneer.
      •Professional Learning for staff provided by the district and building.

    • School Hours

      School hours are 8:10-2:40. Students are dismissed at 1:40 on ACE Day Wednesdays. Please refer to the calendar link for early release days and holidays. Unless students have a previous arrangement with a teacher, students are not to enter the building until 7:40am when supervision is available.

    • Is Your Child Absent or Tardy Today?

      Please call the Attendance Office at 583-7205 to excuse an absence or tardy.

    • Picking Up Your Student Early?

      If your student needs to be dismissed early, please send a note to school with your child that day. The Attendance Office will give the student a pass to leave class at the requested time. Parents must sign students out at the Attendance Office. See the Attendance Office link under the "Our School" tab for attendance policies.

    • Change In Transportation?

      If you need to notify your student of a change of transportation, please call the school by 2:00 to be sure your message can be delivered in time. If your student has a bus change, please send a note to school and tell your child to get a bus pass from the office.

    • Shh! Class Is In Session

      An uninterrupted learning environment is necessary for student success. Please refrain from requesting messages to your child unless it is urgent. If your child needs to be dismissed early, have your child bring a note to the attendance office in the morning. Your child will be given a pass to leave class at the designated time. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

      Interested in substituting in one of our schools?
      The SHSD is looking for Certificated and Classified Substitutes for the 2014-15 school year. If you are interested in applying to be a substitute, go to the “Employment” tab on the SHSD website. Follow prompts to create an online application and apply for jobs under the “Job Openings” section.
