  • 2016 Healthy Youth Survey

    6th and 8th graders will be taking a Healthy Youth Survey. The survey asks questions about risk for injury, health outcomes, and student choices. Schools, communities and state and local health departments use survey results to support our youth and reduce their risks. The Healthy Youth Survey is voluntary and anonymous and will take place in mid-October. Click on the above title to view the flyer.

  • Change In Transportation?

    If you need to notify your student of a change of transportation, please call the school by 2:00 to be sure your message can be delivered in time. If your student has a bus change, please send a note to school and tell your child to get a bus pass from the office.

  • Did Your Student Forget Something?

    If your student forgot a lunch, homework, library book, etc. please drop off at the Attendance Office. Please tell your student to check there for these items during passing time.

  • Is Your Child Absent or Tardy Today?

    Please call the Attendance Office at 583-7205 to excuse an absence or tardy.

  • Picking Up Your Student Early?

    If your student needs to be dismissed early, please send a note to school with your child that day. The Attendance Office will give the student a pass to leave class at the requested time. Parents must sign students out at the Attendance Office. See the Attendance Office link under the "Our School" tab for attendance policies.

  • School Hours

    School hours are 8:10-2:40. ACE Day Wednesday dismissal is 1:40. Please refer to the calendar link for early release days and holidays. Unless students have a previous arrangement with a teacher, students are not to enter the building until 7:40 am when morning supervision begins.

  • Substitutes Needed

    Interested in substituting in one of our schools?
    The SHSD is looking for Certificated and Classified Substitutes. If you are interested in applying to be a substitute, go to the “Employment” tab on the SHSD website. Follow prompts to create an online application and apply for jobs under the “Job Openings” section.
