About Our School...

Chloe Clark Elementary School is a learning community where creativity, curiosity, and academic excellence are encouraged and nurtured each and every day. We believe that all children can learn - and we approach each day with enthusiasm and excitement for the opportunity to work with children. Our school has an explicit open-door policy where everyone is made to feel welcome and a part of the school community. We look forward to working with you and your family to help make Chloe Clark Elementary School a memorable and lasting learning experience for you and your children, today and always.

Community Time

We start each day at Chloe Clark Elementary School in the Community Room with ten minutes of Community Time, a time for us all to be together to share our successes, our areas we need to work on, and to celebrate birthdays, share a story, a poem, or a song. Each day at Community Time we pledge allegiance to our country's flag - and we also take "The Explorer's Pledge" as we make the promise that "today, we are going to be the best we can be."

Community Time is an exceptionally important tradition at Chloe. It is a bonding time for our school that emphasizes the importance of community, neighborhood, and relationships. At Community Time, children gain important skills in public speaking and presenting - and classes frequently share the wonderful work that they are doing in class with the entire school.

In part because of Community Time, the entire student body gets to know the principal, the assistant principal, the counselor, and teachers other than their own. In a large public setting, at Community Time the children of Chloe are able to see the circle of adults who care very deeply about their well-being and success in school.

In short, Community Time is something that we have come to believe is very Chloe - an event that is tailor-made to our neighborhood school where we all participate to provide children with exceptional opportunities each and every day!

Please feel free to join us at this amazing event that we call Community Time. It begins each day at 8:50, and we are looking forward to having you be a part of our school community!

Friday Sing

Just as we begin each day with Community Time, we end each week with fifteen minutes of singing at Friday Sing. Held in our Community Room, at Friday Sing we celebrate the success that we have had during the week by simply spending time together singing.

Each week our children are led through a variety of songs that help launch us into the weekend and that helps reinforce the idea that together we can accomplish great things. The biggest thing about Friday sing, however, is that Friday Sing is fun! Friday sing is held for all of our children every Friday.

Please feel free to join us as we celebrate the end of a week of hard work and academic success at Friday Sing - each Friday at 3:05!
