    Biography

       Hi, my name is KC Madsen. This year I will be teaching one class of Health/Fitness, one class of Social Studies 7, and 3 classes of Money Matters. I've been teaching for 29years, 15 of which have been here at Pioneer Middle School. During the past 25 years, I have taught almost every subject matter from Physical Education to Home Economics, to Social Studies. 
        I was born in Tacoma and have lived in the local area my entire life. I attended schools in the Clover Park School District and graduated in 1984 from Clover Park High School. After graduation I soon realized that I would have much brighter future if I went back to school, so decided to attend Pierce College where I received my two year degree.  I attained my  Bachelor's Degree from Washington State University. I still root for the Huskies however, Go Dawgs!
       It is my goal to help my students learn so that they may better form their own opinions about the world around them. I support the idea that every person is important and that part of my job is to teach students to respect others and their opinions, even if they are different from their own. I'm excited to get to know my new students this year and to learn from them just as much as they learn from me.
