Welcome to Anderson Island Elementary – Home of the Eagles!
I am honored to serve the Anderson Island Community as Principal of this amazing school where children feel nurtured, safe, and ready to learn. Our dedicated staff goes above and beyond to provide students with the best possible learning environment while focusing on rigorous academic standards, individualized instruction, and social emotional wellbeing.
Defined as a remote and necessary school by the State of Washington, our campus is part of the 40-acre Jane Cammon Park on Anderson Island. The surrounding park provides hiking trails that lead to our incredible Outdoor Classroom. The area is used weekly by students and staff for hands-on learning projects that integrate math, science, English language arts, exploration, and art.
Education and social/emotional well-being are vital to our success in life. The staff strives to meet students where they are and help them build the foundation they need to continue a life-long love of learning. I think of our school as a community within the incredibly supportive community of Anderson Island. In our school, everyone learns to care about each other and work together – celebrating every member of the group.
In an effort to continually improve, our team welcomes feedback from our stakeholders. Please feel free to contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
