• Biography

I love working with young students. I was inspired to become a teacher when I volunteered in my son’s kindergarten classroom at Whittier Elementary School. So with great enthusiasm, I attended Central Washington University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Education Magna Cum Laude in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education.  I began my teaching career in 2007. I have taught kindergarten through fifth grade, but my heart is really working with fourth graders.

I love to hike, practice yoga and pilates, lift weights, and talk my friends into walking in the neighborhood with me. I believe in eating healthy and keeping my mind, body, and spirit in balance.

If I could choose to live anywhere, I would have a water view. I love the ocean, bays, lakes, or rivers. I am really grateful that I live in the  Pacific Northwest, surrounded by gorgeous bodies of water, and green trees as far as the eye can see!
