My name is Kim Tate. I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a teacher. I began my education at Saint Martin's University in Lacey, WA where I received a bachelors in Psychology and Sociology in 1991. In 1999 I went to work in the Franklin Pierce School District as a Family Support Specialist working with families in the Head Start Preschool Program. In 2000, I switched from Family Support Specialist to teaching and in 2007, I completed by Early Education Degree.
In 2008, my husband and I moved to Anderson Island after becoming empty nesters. I continued to commute to the Franklin Pierce School district until 2018 when I started working at Anderson Island Elementary. In 2019, I became the preschool teacher.
My husband and I enjoy boating, traveling and working in our yard. We enjoy Anderson Island and feel blessed to live and work on this amazing island.
