About the Teacher

Greetings! My name is Ms. Laura Mercier.  This is my third year in the Steilacoom Historical School District and I am pleased to be teaching First Grade again at Chloe Clark Elementary.  I have been teaching First Grade for the last seven years, so I'm very excited to continue my journey with my favorite grade! A little more about myself, I earned a bachelor's in Elementary Education and a master's in Teaching from Northwest University. I have experience teaching students as young as 3 years old to students in Third Grade.  Personally, I love spending my free time watching movies, hiking, reading, practicing yoga, and I most recently started painting (you're never too old to begin a new hobby).

It is an honor to work at Chloe Clark Elementary and I am very much looking forward to continuing to get to know the people in this great community.
