PIONEER SPORTS SCHEDULES 2020-2021

  • Hello Pioneer Parents and Guardians,

I hope you had a restful holiday break. I would like to inform you that Pioneer Middle School will be opening registration for Track and Field and Dance Club on Monday, January 11, 2021. At this time only Track and Field and Dance Club will be open - we will notify you again when it is safe to resume other sports. Here is a link to Pioneer Sports Registration TouchBase.

Season 1 for Middle School (Track and Dance) will start on Jan 19th and end on February 19th. This is a 5 week season. Practice will be held Monday - Thursday from 2:45 to 4:45.

These activities are allowed because they are considered "Low Risk" activities and will strictly follow DOH and WIAA protocols and guidelines. These protocols include the requirement that we limit our squad sizes to 6 athletes in a stable pod setting. Due to the size restrictions these activities will be very limited in space. Roughly 30 students in Track and Field and 24 students for Dance. We will have an Activity Bus for pick up and drop off - a route guide will be sent to participants.

Dance Club will be limited to past club participants - if spaces open up we will contact you about the process to join. Track and Field will have a lottery drawing for participants. All grades (including Promise Program students) are welcome to participate in all Pioneer sports starting this year (except Football - grades 7-8 per WIAA guidelines).

Track and Field will be held outdoors while Dance Club will practice in our large gym. Again, we will require strict adherence to Covid Protocols that have been set forth by the DOH and WIAA - See WIAA Return-To-Play guidelines link bellow for more information. All participants are required to wear masks.

Currently, we are not having inter-league competitions or tournaments. No spectators are allowed at practices at this time.

Track and Field requires a physical to be on file at the school to participate. Dance Club does not require a physical but it is highly recommended. Medical WIAA Physical Forms can be found here - Physicals require a certified medical practitioner examination to be valid. Other forms from your medical practitioner are accepted as long are approved and signed.

Please read the WIAA guidelines for more in-depth descriptions of protocols and requirements.

We will adjust sports and seasons if needed according to state updates as they are presented.

We look forward to seeing our student athletes and are happy to provide this opportunity at this time.
