My name is Rod Enos and I am an 10th year PE Teacher at Chloe Clark.  I spent 4 years teaching and coaching at the high school level in Tenino, Washington after a year teaching PE in the Centralia school district.  I was the Head High School Boys Basketball Coach and Girls Tennis Coach.  I was also an assistant football coach. In 2013 I was voted Coach of the Year for the Evergreen 1A Conference for Boys Basketball.  I grew up in Forks, Washington and completed my undergraduate degree in K-12 Health and Fitness at Washington State University.  In 2014, through Concordia University, I completed my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction. As of 2015 I became a professionally certified teacher through the pro teach program offered in Washington State. In 2018 I undertook the challenge of tackling the process of becoming a National Board Certified Teacher. I jumped in head first and completed the 3 year process in one year, and after hundreds of hours of work became National Board Certified. This is a great honor as only 3% of teachers countrywide are certified NBCT. Chloe Clark can now boast that we have 2 national board certified PE teachers at the elementary level with just over 100 total statewide.  I am very passionate about teaching and working with kids and getting them excited about fitness and skill development. My wife and I share a passion for the outdoors and enjoy travelling the world when I'm not in the classroom. I'm looking forward to working with students and sharing my interests with them while getting to know each of them as individual learners.
