I have been teaching at Steilacoom High School since the 1983-84 school year. I believe that this community, the staff, the students and our school are outstanding.  I received Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education from Washington State University with minors in social studies and athletics/coaching, and a Master's degree in Educational Administration from Pacific Lutheran University.  I have taught mathematics from General Math through Pre-Calculus, including Applied Math 1and 2, as well as BASIC computer programming and Social Studies.  I have coached track and field, basketball, volleyball and tennis. I have served on the Washington State Applied Math Council (1989-2001) and have served on the Washington State Mathematics Cadre for the development of statewide assessment (1993-2000).  I  am a member of the Puget Sound Educational Service District Math Teacher Leaders Cadre (2015-present).  I enjoy teaching math and helping students understand what they are learning.
