Steilacoom Historical School District No.1 will  offer a dual summer school program for the purposes of enrichment and credit recovery.

    The 2019 Summer School will run in two sessions, both at Steilacoom High School.


    Session I will run Monday, June 24 – Friday, July 12

    There is no summer school on July 4, in honor of Independence Day.

    Session II will run Monday, July 15 – Thursday, August 1


    Pierce County Skills Center (PCSC) Courses offered

         PCSC Session Hours are 7:45am - 2:45pm


    Health (Sessions I and II)

    Engineering (Sessions I and II)

    Financial Math (Sessions I and II)

    Physical Fitness Technician (**Session I only)

    Journalism (Sessions I and II)


    The PSCS classes are free to all 9th-12th graders (including incoming freshman).


    Credit Recovery/Edgenuity will run Session I only

    Credit Recovery Hours are 7:45am - 11:45am


    Credit recovery (Using our online program-Edgenuity) is $50 for credit recovery and $100 for grade improvement on courses previously attempted/completed.



    Transportation is provided free of charge for students who live within the Steilacoom School District boundaries. For Session I, there are two home-bound buses.  One leaving SHS at 11:45 am for Credit Recovery students and the other leaves SHS at 2:45 pm for PCSC program students. Route information will be made available to  families on or before June 14th, 2019
