To our DuPont neighbors and families,
We are updating the school zone signage on Palisade Blvd to better protect our students. The "20 MPH When Flashing" signs are being replaced with:
20 MPH When Children are Present
This update ensures our students are protected whenever they are near the roadway, whether they are arriving for the morning bell or staying late for activities. This change also allows us to reallocate hardware to resolve communication errors with beacons on our busier thoroughfares, ensuring more reliable traffic safety across the city.
A Friendly Reminder: "Children are present" includes anytime students are occupying or waiting to cross the road, or are on the sidewalks and shoulders nearby.
