At their April 16 meeting, the SHSD Board of Directors passed Resolution 933-04-16-25 recognizing May as Mental Health Awareness Month.
During the month of May, Steilacoom Historical School District and others across the country will work to raise awareness of mental illness, decrease the stigma associated with mental illness and connect our community with resources and support through Mental Health Awareness Month.
We believe that mental health conditions are important to discuss year-round, but highlighting them during this month provides a dedicated time for educators and families to come together as one unified voice.
